General Info

Tucked away in the charming streets of Chozumeya Kamakura Komachi, this cozy spot feels like the kind of place you stumble upon and instantly want to recommend. The location is convenient yet pleasantly tucked into Kamakura’s Yukinoshita area, making it an easy stop whether you're exploring nearby attractions or just looking for a relaxed lunch.

What stood out right away was the inviting outdoor seating. On a mild day, sitting outside with a cold drink and a plate of freshly prepared sausages feels just right. The menu leans into simple, satisfying comfort food, but it’s done with a level of care that makes each bite memorable. Their ソーセージ 湘南 ビール pairing is a must-try-juicy sausages paired with locally crafted 湘南 ビール create a balance that’s both rich and refreshing.

If you’re into craft drinks, you’ll appreciate their クラフトビール selection. It’s not overwhelming, but it’s curated well enough to complement the food perfectly. I personally enjoyed the 湘南ビール アルト, which had a smooth, slightly malty flavor that paired beautifully with the フランク バジル sausage. There’s also a unique option featuring ソーセージ 湘南ビール&リコッタチーズ, which adds a creamy twist that elevates the entire dish.

Service here is straightforward and efficient. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a quick bite without sacrificing quality. The takeout option is convenient if you’re on the go, and the wheelchair accessible parking lot makes the restaurant more inclusive and easy to visit. Even during busier lunch hours, the flow feels organized, and you don’t have to wait long to enjoy your meal.

From a reviewer’s perspective, this restaurant hits a sweet spot between casual and memorable. It’s not trying to be overly fancy, and that’s exactly its charm. The menu is focused, the flavors are consistent, and the atmosphere feels genuine. Reviews often highlight the quality of the sausages and the beer selection, and after visiting, it’s easy to see why.

If you’re exploring Kamakura and want a laid-back restaurant experience with good food, reliable service, and a welcoming vibe, this place fits naturally into your list of must-visit locations.

What customers say?

“ Tried the different types of sausages that they had here and they were all really yummy, wish the portions are bigger though! The staff could also speak english so it was nice since were travelling. Good place to grab a snack and some beer as well. The sausages were not oily as well and the service was nice and quick! ”

“ I had the curry sausage in a hotdog with a lager, it was really good, and it was fairly cheap, especially considering the tourist appeal of the area! The staff was very friendly! Definitely a recommended place! ”

“ This is a place I always stop by when I go to Kamakura. I almost always order mulled wine...lol Each stick is big, so I can't eat a whole lot, but I enjoy it depending on my mood. It's nice to eat while walking around, but the terrace seats are a little off the sidewalk, so it's not too noisy and you can relax. The staff were very attentive and fun. I'll definitely come again next time! ”

“ I had chorizo. It wasn't spicy, but it was delicious! I thought I'd just walk around eating it since it was just one piece, but they let me sit on the terrace and even let me try a sample, which was fantastic hospitality. ”

“ There are surprisingly many seats inside the shop, and it's comfortable. I ordered a 5-kind grilled sausage platter and a pilsner. I also tried a tasting. When I saw the really thick sausages, I wondered if I could eat them all. But they were so delicious that I ate them all. I think the chorizo was the best, and the curry was also interesting. When I was able to buy them, I suddenly noticed a thin sausage on the menu. I wonder if I should have ordered that one (lol). But I was full, so it was good that they were big. ”

“ I popped into this place while strolling around Kamakura. It was hot outside, so I wanted to cool off, so I went in. The inside was comfortably air-conditioned. The prices are touristy, but the beer and sausage combination is amazing! ”

“ [An unexpected hidden gem!] I was blown away by the freshly grilled sausages paired with Shonan beer! This restaurant is renowned for its handmade sausages and is famous on YouTube. I saw some delicious-looking sausages in a YouTube video and chose this place as my first stop. This restaurant offers convenient takeout and eating on the spot. When I arrived, the balcony seats were already full. There were several empty seats inside, so I chose one of them. The interior is much more spacious than you'd imagine from the outside. They also sell sausages, with a large refrigerator filled with delicious-looking sausages. I chose a seat by the window because I wanted to take photos. The menu focuses on simple dishes, including handmade sausages and ham. They offer several drinks, including Shonan beer. Since there are no servers, orders are made at the register near the entrance. The menu features simple dishes, including handmade sausages and ham, as well as several types of Shonan beer. The menu also has a Kamakura-inspired feel. After paying at the cashier, I sipped my beer at my table while waiting for my sausages to arrive. The striking red beer had a strong aroma and a mellow taste. There were three types of beer available: Pilsner, Alt, and Schwarz. The Alt was described as top-fermented, and I thought it would be a red ale, so I decided on that. The sausage and beer set was 1,250 yen, a slightly better deal than ordering them separately. I added two sausages to the set. The sausages I chose were the coarsely ground frankfurter, the coarsely ground spicy chorizo, and the Barianta Herb, which boasted the aroma of paprika and herbs. After a few minutes of waiting, the sausages arrived. They had a beautiful golden brown crust, reminiscent of an American Oktoberfest. The only sauces available were ketchup and Dijon mustard. The sausage casings are not crispy like those of shawessen, but are the type that the knife can easily penetrate. All three types are quite tasty, and even better with mustard. Eating them with the accompanying sauerkraut makes them even more delicious. Of the three types, my favorite was the chorizo. It had a distinct flavor profile, which I like. The overall saltiness was light, and I was impressed that they were delicious just as they were. I ate three sausages and was about 80% full. It was a great start to my first stop on my Kamakura Shonan tour! ”

“ It's located near Hachimangu Shrine on Komachi-dori Street in Kamakura. You can smell the delicious aroma of sausages being grilled in front of the store. The plate comes with bread and includes authentic sausages, salami, pickles, and more, which go perfectly with beer. The portions are generous and delicious. ”
